Hiking & Waterfalls at Mayflower Bocawina National Park

Hiking in Mayflower is hiking in a lush subtropical rainforest thick with trees, orchids, ferns and abundant birdlife. Mayflower Bocawina National Park lies next to the remains of some Mayan ruins. Just the 4km drive itself off the Southern highway, thru the orange orchids, is a beautiful experience.

Mayflower is also one of the best places for bird spotting. For serious hikers, hike to the steep Antelope trail that is estimated to be 11 hundred ft height. At the top there is a great view, and a natural pool to swim in by the cascading waterfall. A perfect spot for you to cool down before heading back. Bring a guide or go on your own!
